The White Dove
Orchestra's aims to encourage new audiences, young and old to experience
"new art" orchestral-based performance by taking it out to traditional
and non-traditional venues. "...to educate, enlighten, entertain,
excite and enrich listeners of all ages: and to serve as an ambassador
of Universal Peace, Harmony, and Enlightenment through Music". WDO
seeks to strengthen community both culturally and economically through
its quality artistry, education and outreach programs which serve the
common good and improve the quality of life in all economical community
levels. Ultimately the goal is bringing arts to the community and community
to the arts, tempered with a healthy dose of sustainability and activism.
the White Dove Orchestra's mission is to perform and present a
broad stylistic range of quality music; attract, entertain and educate
audiences with superior musical performances and recordings; build and
maintain the Orchestra's national and global reputation. The White
Dove Orchestra's believes in: serving people of all ages; providing
opportunities that will raise people's awareness of new music art and
technology; deepening individual's knowledge of music; keeping children's
and adult's interest in new music art and concert going; presenting world-class
concerts in California and throughout national and world communities.
The Orchestra also
extends its reach into the community by performing at local schools and
community arts events, assisting the community in introducing young people
to contemporary and classical music enhancing lifelong learning opportunities
by providing enrichment information to adults. All of the Orchestra 's
programming is planned to target a multi-cultural, multi-generational
audience.
The long-term objectives
of the orchestra are to promote contemporary and classical music in the
U.S, Europe, and Asia. and, venture to promote contemporary Novaphonic
"Quintal/Quartal" compositions in US, Asia, and Europe. The orchestra
will serve as a hub for cultural dialogue and exchange in the regions by
inviting high calibre musicians and providing employment and exchange opportunities
for music graduates and faculty in the US and neighbouring countries.
